You are hereWhat do you mean by the call of my soul?
What do you mean by the call of my soul?
At the core of every mission is a desire to do something to contribute to the life of another or the state of our world. It may be as simple as extending a helping hand to someone in need, or as complex as bringing health care to rural villages in Africa.
These altruistic desires have to start somewhere.
They come from your soul. It's trying to lead you through life to the experiences it needs to evolve.
We're not going to get into a long discussion about what your soul is or is not. Let's just say it's a part of you that exists beneath your ego's awareness of itself, like your subconscious. Or more appropriately, your superconscious.
When we act on these desires that emanate within us, we are embarking on a mission to manifest the intention behind them. The process of going about this effort is as important to our souls as the ultimate result of actually doing what we set out to do, for it brings valuable experiences that allow us to evolve.
A mission is, in short, nothing more than a vehicle for us to see who we are and interact with the world around us in another way. No longer is it some big, impersonal thing that we learn about from the news. Through our missions we connect with life at deeper levels that empower us to glimpse (and act upon) our inner workings and explore our relationships with others and the world around us.
Through that interaction, we make our mark upon the collective consciousness and forever change the course of history.
So when you are filled with a desire to make a difference, to do something to help someone else, just know it is your soul calling with another opportunity to take a step forward on its journey home.
May yours be filled with love and light.
